Pauper vestimenta vendebat: extitit alius pauper, qui vindicaret ea et furto ablata esse sibi diceret. Ille venditor ait se ab adultero deprehenso illa vestimenta detraxisse: invicem accusant, ille adulterii, hic furti.
Translation
A poor man was selling clothes; another poor man came and claimed them, maintaining that they had been stolen from him. The seller said that he had taken those clothes from an adulterer caught in the act; they accuse each other, respectively of adultery and theft.
