Pauper et dives inimici. Pauperi duo filii. Dives imperator creatus. Rumor ortus est prodi rem publicam a pauperis filiis. Utrumque torquens pernegantem necavit, corpora eorum extra vallum proici iussit. Quae hostes sepelierunt et recesserunt. Pauper accusat divitem caedis.

Translation

A poor man and a rich man were enemies. The poor man had two sons. The rich man was appointed commanding general. A rumor arose that the poor man's sons were betraying the state. Torturing both of them, he killed them, although they denied it to the end, and ordered their corpses to be cast out beyond the palisade. These the enemy buried and they then withdrew. The poor man charges the rich man with murder.
