“Desertor capite puniatur”. “Ter vir fortis militia vacet”. “Praemium victor imperator accipiat”. Ter virum fortem imperator coegit ad bellum. Coactus deseruit. Imperator praemio impunitatem desertoris petit. Desertor contradicit.

Translation

“A deserter shall be executed”. “A man decorated for bravery three times shall be exempt from military service”. “A victorious general shall receive a reward”. A general compelled a man decorated for bravery three times to go to war. The man so compelled deserted. The general institutes a suit for the deserter's exemption from the punishment as his reward. The deserter opposes this.
