“Virorum fortium facta pingantur”. “Viri fortes de praemio armis contendant”. Fratres fortiter fecerunt. Pater a minori petit, ut maiori cederet. Non impetravit. Proelio interfecit maiorem minor. Petit praemio, ne facta pingantur. Pater contradicit.

Translation

“The brave deeds of heroes shall be painted in pictures”. “Heroes shall contend in combat over a reward”. [Two] brothers fought heroically. Their father requests that the younger give way to the elder. His request was unsuccessful. The younger son killed the elder in the combat. He seeks as his reward that his exploits not be painted. The father objects.
