Lege indemnatorum interficiendum pater filium carnifici tradidit. Ille vult manu patris interfici. Pater ipse, qui fuerat offensus, ultro se non posse facere, quod coeperat, confitetur.

Translation

A father handed over his son to be killed, in accordance with the law concerning those condemned without a trial, to a professional executioner. The son wants to be killed by his father's hand. The father, for his part, who had been met with ill-success in this, freely admits that he is unable to finish what he had begun.
