“Viro forti duo praemia”. “Raptarum lex”. “Poena raptoris in diem tricesimum differatur”. Ex duobus fratribus, unus rapuit. Rapta mortem optavit. Poena dilata est. Alter fortiter fecit. Primo praemio petit fratris incolumitatem; impetravit. Secundo raptae mortem postulat. Frater contradicit.

Translation

A WAR HERO SHALL RECEIVE TWO REWARDS. THE LAW CONCERNING RAPED WOMEN. THE PUNISHMENT OF A RAPIST SHALL BE POSTPONED TO THE THIRTIETH DAY. One of two brothers committed a rape. The raped woman called for his death. The execution was deferred. The other brother fought heroically. As his first reward he asks for his brother's immunity. This he obtained. For his second he demands the death of the raped woman. His brother opposes this.
